There are four email alert settings that are sent via Destiny, the first three are strictly for management and
the fourth could be used either for management or for your clients.
Alert 1) Is a speed setting to notify management of any unit who exceeds the set speed limit. The alert is instant and repeats itself every 30 seconds with the name and current speed of that unit until that unit decreases his speed below the speed setting. Settings consist of the speed and what email to notify.
Alert 2) Is sent to an email address you specify and is activated when one of your employees fill out an arrest report. Upon submission into the system, a notification is automatically sent to the email address specified.
Alert 3) Is sent to an email address you specify and is activated when one of your employees fill out an incident report. Upon submission into the system, a notification is automatically sent to the email address specified.
Alert 4) Is set up on the accounts page and not here. It is a geofence alert and is activated when a unit travels within an area designated by management and sends a notification to an email address that you specify. This alert could be used two ways, one is to put a perimeter around an employee's home or someplace that unit is not supposed to be and if and when he does, notify a supervisor, or the other way is to put a perimeter around an account and notify the client of when a patrol car is on their property.
Either way geofences are used, they create a log of the date, time and satellite view of the area covered which is sent to the person being notified. You can have unlimited geofences on the Destiny system.
